short trip home in the works...

i may be trying to go to arkansas for a few days in october... i was looking at adam's blog - and he has a couple of pictures of his sister and him - one from when they were kids and a recent one... and it made me think about my brother and me... i've been going through pictures this week trying to put together a "me" book for a bible study i'm in - and the other night i ran across a picture of the two of us (my brother and me) on our granddad's riding lawn mower... after seeing the pictures on adam's blog, i thought, i want to take pictures with my brother... i doubt we'll be able to find a riding lawn mower in order to mimic the old picture...

but then i started thinking about time... i'm planning to go home for christmas, and i'll get to see my brother, but i want to go and visit him now - so i started looking at plane tickets... i can't necessarily afford to go home right now - and don't necessarily have the time, either... but i started thinking about homecoming... that would be a great time for me to go home (not so much from work, but more the timing for me... being able to save a little before then)... so it may be a possibility... i might be in arkansas for a weekend (not much more) in october... i will still have to check with my boss next week (he's on vacation this week)... but it would be thursday night until monday morning... very short trip... but more convenient for work...

and i could see friends from college (and not from college) and have lots of hang out time with my brother which is long overdue... i miss him!!! and we could take that picture i want so bad... i have pictures of us together - but none that have been taken in the last two years, i don't think...

so, we'll see how it goes...
